Product Description
With her skill in selling real estate, her expertise in marketing, and her drive to succeed, Kendra Todd has mapped out an exciting and lucrative future for herself–one that included taking the right kind of risks, profiting from them, and sharing her knowledge with others.
Todd understands that the one thing that keeps people from making the big, bold moves that can improve their lives is a fear of risk, even more than lack of capital. The willingness to try new and different things, and the ability to keep your head on straight while your heart is pounding, is something that Todd knows well. Without risk, she doesn’t have a business. Todd will address how men and women view risk from opposite sides of the galaxy, how anyone can become an entrepreneur, how you can set yourself up for success and what the ten steps are for turning risk into opportunity. With quizzes to test what kind of risk taker you are, and examples of successful risks that paid off, Todd is poised to become the hot voice of investment to her generation.

“Real self-esteem comes from putting it all on the line, working your tail off, getting up after you’ve taken a few shots to the chin, and making great things happen in the end.”
“Risk takers are list makers”
Kendra bought her first investment property before she bought a home for herself. That speaks volumes for her determination to succeed in the real estate business and also clearly demonstrates that she eats her own cooking, meaning she practices what she preaches.
From my prospective, coming from a Wall St. background and having interviewed several CEO’s of public companies on my radio show, “Wall St. Wrap Up” in the 90′s and then going on to build a real estate company with $25 million in holdings in 4 years, I can wholeheartedly agree with Kendra in that taking risk is a quintessential ingredient in building wealth. In the book she gives hundreds of different ways to look at (and appreciate) risk.
I found the Harvard Business Review from 1979 list of entrepreneur’s nine important qualities by Geoffrey A. Timmons interesting.
1. A high level of energy
2. 2. Enough self-confidence to take carefully calculated, moderate risks
3. A clear idea of money as a way of keeping score and as a means of generating more money
4. The ability to get others to work with you and for you productively
5. High but realistic, achievable goals
6. The belief that you can control your own destiny
7. Readiness to learn from your own mistakes and failures
8. A long-term vision of the future of your business
9. An intense competitive urge, with self-imposed standards

Kendra Todd and Charles Andrews are the real deal. I like straight talk about risk (which you can see in my review of Make it Big by Frank McKinney). Charles Andrews has built a real estate empire from the ground up and I always look forward to hearing what he has to say at the annual Chicago Super Conference dot com events. I originally bought the book to “do my homework” before meeting them one year. I seriously didn’t know what to expect– but flat out: I LOVED THIS BOOK.
Our culture encourages people to take the biggest, most foolish risk of all: Not taking risks. Read it. Learn it. Love it. It’s about damn time someone said it: Risk! and Grow Rich!

Kendra does a great job of expalining what its takes to buy your first property. Its not the money the first time its the nerve and confidence. I remember feeling the same way. Now go out and get yourself another property and this book, its a good read.
